ArtPose app good for
The best human model app in the Appstore. They keep improving it!
As an artist, Im constantly on the hunt for pose references. This app provides almost everything that I need and more.
I was thinking that I need some sort of control over the lighting and you guys did just that. Thank you! I do hope youll add the same lighting features to ArtPoseFE next!
Oh, a little side note: When going into the preset poses, the set starts at the middle of the gallery instead of the beginning. A little on the irksome side since scrolling back takes a while, but its not a huge deal.
This Ap is a very powerful artists tool. I am a newbie and by far this is the most useful anatomy tool I have used.
Now that I have used this Ap for about a year, I can say I believe it to be a gamechanger for art students... and they keep improving it!!! The expanded capability it gives the artist justifies its coat many times over. The companion female figure is similarly impressive!
This app is a must have for every modern illustrator/artist. It has freed me almost completely from endless searching for the right pose reference on the internet. Now I can create every angle, pose and lighting on the go, having a handy reference with me even while Im sketching on the train or elsewhere.
With every new update this is getting better and better. I can not stress enough what a fine piece of work this is.
I´m using ArtPose to illustrate user scenarios — and it works great for that purpose, too! For further development - This is my wish list for extra features:
- dressed-up versions for models
- more natural preset poses for user scenarios, such as sitting in front of monitor, pointing at map, holding a cup, etc
- more characters/body types, such as kids, older person, pregnant woman, etc
- possibility to have several characters in one scenario, e.g. a group discussing, etc.
- integrated or stand-alone gesture modeler to illustrate more sophisticated user scenarios, e.g. hand holding a pen, pushing a button, etc.
I would easily pay 10-20$ for each of these extra packages!
Way to go!
A figure posing app that is designed by someone who knows what professional artists and illustrators NEED in an app like this! Filled with great features, easy and intuitive to use, frequent updates, and the figure’s anatomy is one of the most realistic, compared to other apps like this. Very well done.
Some bad moments
I love the different ways this app works & how well it captured the human body. Not to mention its much easier to pose & work with than other anatomy apps like it. For an update, Id like to see more heavier body types added in at some point. Heavier meaning pot-bellied, fat, or stocky. The male body is more than just skinny & bodybuilder, lets see how heftier bodies sculpt onto them.
This would help out a lot for drawing & studying different body sizes.
Really like this app. Easy to use and you can see what your art would look like with good results. This the best one Ive used
Great reference app! The model is very nicely detailed, it comes with 15 default poses, and 15 hand poses that are easy to control independently. Additionally, it is by far the most user friendly pose app when it comes to creating your own poses, unrivaled in my opinion. Most apps that I have tried will either not have a way to manipulate the models at all, or the lack detail and make it easy to create awkward poses that dont look natural and sometimes not even anatomically correct.
I really hope it continues to be expanded upon, a female model is an obvious one, but it would be the ultimate greatest if eventually we can control the hand and fingers. Perhaps even face one day...
This is already a wonderful app with tons of potential to get even better. Highly recommended.
This is a very good tool. Is there any way to add rigging so if I grab the torso and move it down the figure squats? Or I move it up and it jumps?
I was looking for a pose generator for my ipad for dynamic movement and downloaded this. Its perfect for what I needed it to do!
Bought the app with the understanding that both the female and male models would be available.
Found out too late that the female model is only available in a separate app for another $3.00.
